Genesis Psychiatric Group Partners with Bryan Telemedicine to offer Mental Health Care Solutions to Underserved Nebraska Communities

A recent study found that 48 of 93 counties in Nebraska have no mental health providers. Genesis Psychiatric Group, LLC, is excited to announce its partnership with Bryan Telemedicine to offer a solution to improve access to mental health care providers for the thousands of Nebraskans that don’t have convenient access to needed care. Both entities are committed to working with local providers, clinics and hospitals across Nebraska to expand access to behavioral health services through the use of Bryan Telemedicine’s secure video platform.

“Our goal is to make mental health services available to the vast underserved areas in Nebraska for those individuals who would otherwise go without treatment. We are committed to providing excellent care in coordination with the individual’s local health care team,” states Genesis President, Michelle Lemon.

Services include diagnostic evaluation, medication management, pharmacogenetics testing, and counseling for children, adolescents and adults.  Commonly treated conditions include depression, stress and anxiety, mood swings, sleep issues, problems with attention and concentration (ADD/ADHD), severe and persistent mental illness, and substance use and addiction.

Genesis lead telepsychiatry provider, Melissa Quick, APRN, board certified family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, understands the importance of access to behavioral health services. “We have worked with hundreds of individuals who would otherwise go without behavioral health care. Nearly all of those that receive care via telemedicine are extremely satisfied with the service and individualized treatment. We help individuals reach a higher quality of life,” commented Melissa. “That is our mission, to improve lives.”  Through the partnership with Bryan Telemedicine, Melissa began providing telehealth services at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh last fall.

“Bryan Telemedicine is pleased to work with Antelope Memorial Hospital and Genesis Psychiatric Group to make these services available in the community. The providers, in addition to offering extremely high quality psychiatric medical services, are experienced and talented providers in working in the telemedicine platform to create a comfortable relationship with clients and provide needed care. We feel fortunate to offer a convenient, effective way for people to receive the care they need,” adds Dr. Brian Bossard, Bryan Telemedicine President.
