Bryan Health Announces b2020-Choose Your Impact, a Comprehensive Campaign to Raise $40 Million

Bryan Health and the Bryan Foundation publicly launches b2020-Choose Your Impact, a comprehensive campaign to raise $40 million to improve health care in our region and prepare for emerging needs in the future.

b2020 began with endorsement from the Bryan Foundation board of trustees near the completion of the Fine Line Campaign, which culminated with the opening of the new Bryan Independence Center facility in September 2014. It will continue through December 31, 2020. With the generous support of individuals, business partners and foundations, $23 million in support has been secured, already surpassing the halfway mark of the campaign’s goal. 

“This is the most ambitious private philanthropic effort we’ve launched since the time when money was raised to build Bryan Memorial Hospital and Lincoln General Hospital,” said Bob Ravenscroft, vice president of advancement and chief development officer for Bryan Health. “This effort celebrates a rich heritage, and will help ensure Bryan Health remains a premier facility for patients to receive care, a wonderful place for talented physicians to practice and an enriching environment for our highly-engaged employees to work.”

“Lincoln is experiencing a historic period of growth which is not dissimilar to what was going on nearly 90 years ago. The Foundation trustees are aware of what R.E. Moore and William Jennings Bryan initiated many years ago, and recognize there are needs to address for our current and future generations,” said Dick Campbell, chair of the Bryan Foundation board of trustees.

b2020 is structured to meet the personalized philanthropic interests of the individual supporter with a comprehensive list of opportunities for impact throughout Bryan Health. There are three distinct categories that supporters can impact and leave a lasting legacy.

• The Environment You Create – Capital construction and equipment purchase. Physical surroundings and access to leading edge and proven technologies enhance environments for comfort, wellness, healing, and highly specialized and advanced care.

• The Lives You Enrich – The heart and soul of health care and Bryan Health is the care provided by physicians, nurses and staff, and the impact they have on the community, patients and their families. Programmatic and endowment opportunities are abundant to support advanced certification and education, patient navigators, community outreach and education, lectures and symposiums, indigent care, preventative screenings, translation services and minor capital needs.

• The Knowledge You Impart – Educating our future health care professionals at Bryan College of Health Sciences and providing them with the foundation to serve patients of today and tomorrow is imperative for a healthy community and state. Endowed faculty and scholarship support will enhance the stellar clinical education students receive at Bryan College of Health Sciences.
