Dr. Gregath is New Medical Director of Bryan Stroke Program
Trevor Gregath, MD, of Bryan Neurology, has been named medical director of the Bryan stroke program.
Dr. Gregath, a Nebraska native, says he has been drawn to vascular neurology from early in his training.
“Stroke is the leading cause of disability in adults, and there are continual advances in stroke care,” he says. “Working as a vascular neurologist gives me the opportunity to stay engaged with these advances in therapy so that I may positively impact patient wellness and recovery.”
In his role as medical director for stroke, Dr. Gregath looks forward to continuing Bryan’s efforts to provide state of the art stroke care to Lincoln and surrounding areas.
“I find it especially fulfilling and humbling to be able to work at Bryan Health, where I can use my expertise to help the people of my home state,” he adds.
Dr. Gregath received his medical degree from University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. He completed a residency and internship in neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, Oklahoma City, and completed a fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of California, San Francisco. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Gregath takes the reins from Dr. James Bobenhouse, who worked tirelessly in helping develop Bryan’s Stroke Center. Dr. Bobenhouse helped inform providers, educate staff and prepare Bryan Medical Center as it achieved its first Joint Commission Primary Certified Stroke Center verification in 2006. We thank Dr. Bobenhouse for his years of support and guidance.
