Bryan Health Completes Phase Three of Bryan East Campus Renovation
Bryan Health has completed the third phase of the Bryan East Campus Renovation, a $47 million project to update public spaces, clinical areas and surgical environments.
“We’re hitting the home stretch on this project,” said Don Sheets, director of facilities and construction. "It's really special to see these spaces come to life after many drafts, designs and drawings. These new amenities will really benefit our patients and staff."
The End of Phase Three Features Multiple Improvements:
- Completion of three new cardiovascular operating suites - all 14 new operating suites for project now open
- Completion of post-anesthesia recovery unit (PACU) - all 18 post-anesthesia care rooms now open
Phase four of the project is underway. In this phase, two specialty procedure rooms for bronchoscopy and urology procedures will be constructed. Additionally, 12 new surgery prep/recovery rooms will be built to merge the needs of all surgery patients into one space. Phase four is the final phase of the Bryan East Campus Renovation and is scheduled to be finished this summer.
“The team has done an excellent job of handling the challenges of a project like this in the middle of a pandemic,” Sheets added. “Our workers have stayed safe and managed supply-chain issues to keep it going. It’s important to have facilities that support our mission of providing excellent patient care.”
