Bryan Medical Center Re-Designated Blue Distinction Center+ for Outstanding Maternity Care
Bryan Medical Center has been re-designated as a Blue Cross and Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center+ for high quality and affordable maternal care, a national honor that recognizes hospitals with outstanding measures in patient safety and health outcomes.

Being recognized once again by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska for meeting the rigorous selection criteria for maternity care set forth by this program is meaningful for our team.”
To receive a Blue Distinction Center+ for maternity care, a hospital must demonstrate its expertise in several quality measures, including the percentage of newborns that fall into the category of early elective delivery. Hospitals also must meet requirements that align with principles that support evidence-based practices of care, as well as having initiated programs to promote successful breastfeeding. The designation also evaluates hospitals on overall patient satisfaction and cost efficiency.
