Platte Valley Medical Center Welcomes Dr. Brian Kim!
Kearney Regional Medical Center and Platte Valley Medical Clinic would like to welcome Dr. Brian Kim.
Dr. Kim earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California. He completed his medical degree, Internal Medicine Internship, and Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He then completed his Cardiology Fellowship at University of Miami, and Electrophysiology Fellowship at UCLA/West LA VA Hospital.
Dr. Kim is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Electrophysiology.
He has been practicing as an Electrophysiologist since 2004, most recently at St. Jude Heritage Medical Group in Fullerton, California as Director of Electrophysiology Laboratory. He was looking for an opportunity to serve a community in-need of his specialized services. When he came to Kearney, he fell in love with the place and the people.
Dr. Kim performs a wide variety of Cardiology procedures to help patients with arrhythmia. He performs ablation procedures for many conditions, including Atrial Fibrillation, Supraventricular Tachycardia, and Ventricular Tachycardia. In addition, he implants pacemakers and defibrillators.
He was the first physician in Orange County, California to place the MICRA Single Chamber Leadless Pacemaker, and ran the National MICRA Training Center. He was also the first physician in the Western United States to implant the FDA Approved Dual Chamber Leadless Pacemaker.
Dr. Kim has a wonderful wife and enjoys fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles.
