Platte Valley Medical Clinic Welcomes Dr. Danika Peterson!
Kearney Regional Medical Center and Platte Valley Medical Clinic are excited to welcome Dr. Danika Peterson.
Dr. Peterson earned her medical degree from Creighton University and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She then began practicing as a Family Medicine provider at Phelps Memorial Health Center in 2020.
She is excited to be joining the Family Medicine team at Platte Valley Medical Clinic, and looks forward to continuing to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care for the entire family.
In addition to her family medicine practice, Dr. Peterson is a certified lactation counselor who provides specialized breastfeeding support to mothers and their babies at Platte Valley Medical Clinic. She assists with a wide range of breastfeeding challenges, including low milk supply, mastitis, and latch issues, and can perform tongue-tie releases to improve feeding success. Dr. Peterson is dedicated to helping mothers feel supported and confident in their breastfeeding journey, offering in-clinic consultations and guidance to address individual needs. Her goal is to make breastfeeding a positive experience for both moms and babies in the community
Dr. Peterson is originally from Atkinson, Nebraska and is very involved in her community, church and alumni groups.
She is married to her high school sweetheart, Dr. Jacob Peterson; together they have four children. In her free time, she enjoys renovating their 1908 home, gardening, thrift shopping, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
