About Bryan Medical Center

Bryan Medical Center, located in Lincoln, Nebraska, includes two acute care facilities with 640 staffed beds. The Bryan pharmacy serves both facilities 24 hours a day. The medical center is part of Bryan Health, a non-profit health system that serves patients throughout Nebraska and the Midwest.

Bryan is a recognized leader in cardiac, orthopedic and stroke care as well as behavioral health services. We also have a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU. The Skills & Experience to Excel

The Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) residency program at Bryan Medical Center builds on the doctor of pharmacy curriculum. Our program provides challenging and well-rounded training opportunities to prepare pharmacy residents to practice independently with the strong clinical and problem-solving skills needed to excel in patient care and teaching after residency completion.

Program Focus

This ASHP Accredited 12-month program builds on your Doctor of Pharmacy degree and focuses on:

  • Patient care and practice management to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Development of pharmaceutical skills to provide medication-related care to patients with a wide range of conditions and disease states
  • Preparation for board eligibility and postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training
