My Approach to Care

My belief is that all human beings deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and it is through active listening that this is achieved. My goal is for every patient to feel valued and heard. It is through this process that one may successfully navigate the course of their illness.

Background and Education:
I received my bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Fort Hays State University and went on to receive my master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Missouri. I grew up here in Lincoln, Nebraska and consider northeast Nebraska my home. I value the opportunity to continue serving the Lincoln community and surrounding areas.

Wendy is the best provider ever that has done my psychatropic meds. She listens and explains things very well, where you can understand them and has excellent bedside manners. All of the staff is wonderful! I would recommend Wendy to anyone that has to be on psychatropic meds.

I was impressed with my experience at Plaza West...from the staff as well as the provider. All made me feel welcome, not as just a patient. The provider was very understanding and took copious notes so that she could ask pertinent questions and give me accurate answers. I liked her and am very glad to remain in her care.

It was a pleasant experience. I was very nervous seeing someone new. She was very pleasant to talk to and to understand and listening to my concerns asking questions to get to the problems. They also got me in cause i got lost in the building but now i know where I'm going it won't be so stressful. I will follow the health plan and hoping for a better outlook.

My Xanax the provider needed to give the Xanax needed to be given closer in hours. What is given is to far apart in hours.

I really like Wendy, always have. She's very knowledgeable and personable. At this new location, however, I felt a little uncomfortable with the rest of the staff. They were asking a lot of questions about my drug history (on the phone, while I was at work) and made me feel like I was an addict. Even when I was there. There were too many questions about that, not by Wendy of course, and it was a little odd to me
