Nominate an Outstanding Employee

We are proud to recognize outstanding employees at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. We have three recognition programs in place to celebrate outstanding performance. Please share your stories and nominations with us by using the form below.

About the DAISY Award

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is an international program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence our nurses bring to their patients every day.

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of ITP, an auto-immune disease. The family was awestruck by the clinical skills, caring, and compassion of the nurses who cared for Patrick, so they created this international award to say thank you to nurses everywhere.

About the Tulip Award

Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and certified medical assistants (CMAs) created the Touching Unique Lives in Practice (TULIP) Award to honor acts of compassionate care and outstanding service and highlight the key roles CNAs/CMAs play in the nursing setting.

About the Sunshine Award

The Sunshine Award honors employees who model compassionate service of the highest standard to patients, visitors, and customers of Grand Island Regional Medical Center. The Sunshine Award recognizes exceptional ancillary and support members who work closely with our nursing and provider staff to improve patient experience and patient care.
