Advance Directives

Advance Directives

People usually make decision about their health care treatment after their physician recommends a course of treatment and provides information about the treatment. These decisions may become more difficult if patients become unable to tell their doctors and loved ones what kind of health care treatment they want. Through documents, known as Advance Directives, people can express their treatment preference before they actually need such care, ensuring their wishes will be carried out and that their families and others will not be faced with making difficult decisions.

When you arrive, we will ask if you have an Advance Directive and provide written information to you. Please do not hesitate to contact the admitting office, social services or your physician for more information.
