Cost and Financing
Questions About Cost?
Call the Bryan Independence Center at 402-481-5268 to talk with a friendly staff member.
Bryan Independence Center is open about treatment costs and fees. We believe in providing information to clients upfront and before admission to allow for a more informed decision about treatment.
Bryan Independence Center is not a state-funded/sliding scale fee program. Therefore, no adjustment of fees can be made. Medicaid does not provide coverage for clients over 18. General assistance also does not apply.
Insurance Coverage
Insurance Coverage
If insurance is applicable, we obtain a copy of the insurance card and client permission to check benefits and eligibility. This process can take one to two working days to complete. We then explain benefits to clients to help them make decisions about treatment.
Benefits quoted are not a guarantee of certification or payment by insurance companies.
If a client is in agreement and meets other eligibility requirements for treatment, the admission is scheduled. We will attempt to pre-certify on the day of admission and let client and family know if approved or not.
If insurance initially approves a level of care, then declines continued stay approval at some point, we work to assist the client to a lower level of care or the client has the option to stay at the current level and self-pay.
Self-pay
Self-pay
Clients have the option to self-pay. A down payment is required as follows:
Down payment is due on the date of admission. Cash, check and credit card payments are accepted.
Bryan Independence Center requires a down payment for individuals seeking treatment who do not have insurance for two main reasons. First, we believe a financial investment in the care received enhances the value of care to the individual. Making a down payment shows an individuals' motivation to change. Second, it provides reimbursement for initial costs of treatment. Self-pay clients will receive a bill for remaining treatment costs.
Clients will receive statements after discharge and can make arrangement for payment of balances as follows:
Medicare
Medicare
-
Medicare A provides benefits for detox treatment
-
Medicare B provides benefits for short-term residential, partial care, intensive outpatient and outpatient
-
NOTE: Medicare B does NOT cover room and board, or medications. These are out-of-pocket expenses. While the room and board fee is set, it is difficult to estimate the cost of medications, as this varies from client to client
Supplemental plans to Medicare may provide further payment but this is not guaranteed.
Medicaid
Medicaid
Bryan Independence Center is a Nebraska provider for all levels of treatment (except detox) for adolescents.
Room and Board
Room and Board
Many insurance companies do not have coverage for the full residential services. This means insurance may pay for the daily program/counseling activities but may not pay for the room and board (overnight) fees. For many of our clients, the only way to receive 24-hour care is to pay the room and board charge out of pocket.
