Occupational Therapy

Helping you live a satisfying life

Your life is made up of occupations – meaningful, everyday activities. Your occupations can include many roles, such as being a parent, a spouse, an employee, a tennis player, a cook or a musician. We generally don’t think about our daily occupations until we have trouble doing them.

Whether an accident or injury, developmental delay or chronic medical condition, this is where an occupational therapist may be able to help. Occupational therapists assess physical and mental abilities, then work with you to improve or accommodate these abilities so you can do things like feed yourself, bathe, dress, complete homemaking and leisure tasks, or even return to work. Occupational therapy helps people develop the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent and satisfying lives.
