At Bryan Bariatric Services, the Journey to a New You includes lifestyle changes to embrace healthy eating habits, increase activity and positive behavior patterns that you can live with for the rest of your life.

You’ll find a compassionate, non-judgmental and informative approach to losing weight while improving your health and sense of self-worth.

Taking Control of Your Weight for Life

Taking control of your weight is about balance and healthy living. It’s a lifestyle that can lower your risk of serious disease and, in some cases, save your life. Obesity and metabolic disorders are the result of genetic predisposition and the environment.

We start with an assessment to create a customized, science-based weight loss program for you. This supportive program provides you with a comprehensive approach that can include: diet, exercise, counseling and medication, as needed, to achieve a healthy weight.

Is Non-Surgical Weight Loss Right for You?

Our program is a good approach if you:

  • Have a body mass index (BMI) of 35 or more

Calculate your BMI, and get a detailed report.

  • Are age 19-65 (especially if interested in medication to help with weight loss)
  • Have weight related health problems such as:
    • Metabolic syndrome, with weight around the middle of the body
    • Diabetes/Pre-diabetes
    • High blood pressure/elevated blood pressure
    • Significant joint and back pain
    • Midlife weight gain
    • Obstructive sleep apnea
    • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
    • Binge eating disorders
    • Fatty liver

Your Path to Success

Step 1: Consultation with a registered dietitian

Our focus is to help you use food and nutrition to lead a healthy lifestyle.

This includes:

  • An assessment of your health needs and current lifestyle
  • Body composition analysis
  • Expertise on nutritional issues and healthy eating habits
  • Creating a personalized, eating plan specific to your needs and medical conditions
  • Counseling and education in these and other areas based on your needs:
    • Emotional eating
    • Eating on the go
    • Habitual snacking
    • Mindful eating
    • Reading labels
    • Portion control
  • Motivation and support to help you make healthy lifestyle changes

As part of our comprehensive program, we will evaluate the success of your meal plan and make adjustments as needed.

Step 2: Exercise Evaluation and Consultation

Physical activity is an important part of your weight loss journey. We’ll meet with you to talk about your current activities and put plans in place for physical activity goals. We’ll create this plan together to best meet your needs for where you are now and where you want to be in the future. Over time, your plan may change to help you achieve your goals.

Step 3: Medical Weight Management, when appropriate

You’ll meet with a doctor or nurse practitioner who specializes in medical weight loss. This will include a more in-depth evaluation of medical conditions that may be contributing to weight gain or lack of weight loss. With this additional evaluation, medications may be used as part of a customized plan to help you reach your weight loss goals.

You will continue to meet with the registered dietitian and other weight loss professionals for ongoing guidance and support.

Step 4: Follow-up

You’ll meet monthly with your registered dietitian and weight management team for three-six months. We will evaluate your progress every three months so that any needed adjustments or additions can be made to help you reach your goals.
